Mario's Christmas Message

Welcome to December – yes the last month in 2010.

Much has happened to each of you personally and as part of Australian society during this year. For what ever has happened it is good to look back over the year and realise what has been achieved, what challenges have been faced, how have we faced them and who have we become in the process.

Can we say we are personally better as a result?
Have we increased our self confidence and our skills?
Have we increased our knowledge of the areas that we enjoy and those that are important?
Can we look ourselves in the mirror and be happy we who we see and who we are?
How have we stacked up with our values and beliefs?
Have we blamed or have we loved?
Have we built bridges of hope and support or a road of regret?

Jim Rohn has written: The prophet said, "There are many virtues and values, but here's the greatest: one person caring for another." There is no greater value than love. Better to live in a tent on the beach with someone you love than to live in a mansion by yourself. One person caring for another, that's one of life's greatest expressions.”

In this era of apparent selfishness and manipulation and huge financial and social challenges, it really is important to remind ourselves that:
“All of us need each of us and each of us need all of us.”

The more we act with patience, respect, loyalty, benevolence and empathy, the more of these characters of love we will attract – what a great feeling that is!!!

From the Calanna Teams and myself …a Happy and Holy Christmas…..Mario
