NOVEMBER 2013 - Men's Health

Most men don’t want to admit they have a health issue and tend to let what ever is going on linger on and feel they would be wasting their GP’s time on trivial or potentially  embarrassing problems.  “It’s not bad enough to see a doctor”

The top 10 leading causes of death in Australian men are;

1. Heart disease  2. Smoking (lung disease)  3. Stroke   4. Prostate Cancer   5. Bowl Cancer   6. Suicide  7. Diabetes   8. Pneumonia and the Flu 9. Car accidents  10. Dementia

MEN, there’s a better chance to overcome or catch health issues before they overtake if you just get regular check ups as this will ensure you stay on top of your GAME!

Lets now take a walk along the ‘wonder years’ timeline to determine and outline some of the tests to undertake throughout your life. For more information, discuss with your GP.
